Yes. PPBOXY’s crab packing box has passed drop testing to verify that it survives the handling impacts typical in cold chain logistics — loading dock transfers, truck loading and unloading, and distribution center sorting. Unlike cardboard, which becomes brittle at low temperatures, PP maintains full impact resistance at crab transport temperatures (0–4°C).
Q: Will the box absorb moisture from the crabs or ice packs?
No. PP absorbs less than 0.01% water. Moisture from crabs packed on ice or with gel packs does not penetrate the box walls. Cardboard under the same conditions absorbs moisture within hours and progressively loses structural integrity.
Q: Is the box suitable for live crabs?
